Tulum π²π½ ποΈ
We've been to Tulum before and loved it. It's a tourist spot that has gained more attention.

Double date with Jennie & Hao.
Lodge π¨
We stayed at an all-inclusive Hilton hotel, Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya. This is a one and done for me.
Pros
- Unlimited free food.
- Multiple options for restaurants and there is always a last resort buffet restaurant.
- Auma steak house is the only restaurant worth dining at. Get the skirt steak π₯©!
- Complimentary drinks everywhere.
- 24 hours room service.
- Access to beach and an abundance of pools.
- Shuttles within the hotel ran frequently during the day.
- 24 hours cafe - their coffee is great!
- There were barely any mosquitoes and that's presumably due to excessive mosquito spray. We smelled a hint of it walking back to our room.
Cons
- Need to make a reservation for dinner time and can only make reservations 2 days in advance max.
- Their online site to make reservations doesn't work. We ended up going to their office to book it and there's always a bit of a line.
- Most of the food is subpar. Buffet generally had better food than the restaurant.
- Food and drinks are grossly over-sweetened.
- There are barely any amenities; I was done after one night.
- Overpriced stay, not worth the bang for the buck. You are better off getting an airbnb, go splurge on food and drinks, and the cost would be much less than the hotel.
- Gift and service stores are overly marked up.
- Room service is pretty bad. I called them multiple times and they did not follow up with my request for towels and canned water.
- 9/10 times, the waves on the beach is too dangerous to go swimming.
- A couple of nights, the room is a bit warm as if the AC wasn't functional. My sleep got shot during those nights. One night, the AC was roaring loud.

Burrito Amor π―
Do yourself a favor and get the shrimp burrito π€π― and the veggie burrito π«π―. Hao went cuckoo for Coco Puffs when he took his first bite out of the shrimp burrito. We ate here twice during our trip, it was just that good! I wouldn't recommend getting the steak burrito π₯©π―, lots of beans and rice.
Cenotes πβ°οΈ
Cenotes Sac Actun
We paid for the group tour, $40/45 minutes. I really enjoyed swimming in the caves and wished we had more time in there. It was great, we loved it!

Cenotes JardΓn del Eden
This is my favorite cenote! This cenote is a very large area surrounded by trees/rocks. Underneath the waters is a whole sea world, like underwater mansion size aquarium. Snorkeling or scuba diving would have been perfect.

Wifey contemplates on diving ππΌββοΈ
Jacki was very nervous about the dive considering climbing up a flimsy tree and jumping from 20 feet above. With a bit of encouragement from everyone, she eventually dove right in. This was her highlight of the trip!
