Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 large can (28 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes
  • Some amount of Tomato paste or sauce
  • 1 medium yellow onion, peeled and halved
  • 12 oz Mushrooms (optional)
  • 2 large cloves garlic, peeled and halved
  • 2 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Salt for flavor

Cooking Instructions

  1. Add olive oil and sautée the onion and garlic until garlic is brown
  2. Cook mushrooms separately and then add here
  3. Add the following into the saucepan: tomatoes, olive oil, oregano, red pepper flakes
  4. Put the heat on medium-high for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  5. Crush all the tomatoes and garlic and bring it down to a simmer for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  6. Remove the onion
  7. Add salt

Spaghetti Squash

Ingredients

  • 1 spaghetti squash
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Cut the spaghetti squash in half
  3. Spoon out the guts
  4. Stab the squash from the outside with a fork, making 4 stabs with equal distance from each other
  5. Drizzle 1 tablespoon onto each spaghetti squash half and smear the inner side
  6. Place the spaghetti squash with the cut side down onto a baking pan
  7. Place in the oven for 30-40 minutes depending on the size of the squash
