I recommend bringing a mask ๐ท - there is some level of pollution from the vehicles.

Lodge ๐จ
We stayed at an airbnb in Roma Norte, a really nice place for half the price of a hotel. Our host is very responsive and organized. The place I stayed at is called Allure Condesa, 179 Sinaloa and one of the best host is Cecilia. We got very lucky!

Sepia ๐
We arrived late on a rainy Tuesday night. Thus, we decided to walk a short block to an Italian restaurant. The food wasn't salted at all, but at least the Tiramisu was delicious.

La 20 Polanco ๐ฅฉ
Pricey but decent food! I've ordered the bone marrow with beef on a taco. Very delicious but small serving.

Saks Polanco ๐ซ
I've went here thrice for lunch since it's the only great place that opens before proper lunch time. It's the norm in Mexico to start lunch at 1pm. The great entrees I like from here is the Ribeye and the Lamb Mixiote (forgot to take a picture of this). Not on the menu is suerito, a refreshing carbonated drink with lime and salt on the rim.

Los Loosers ๐ฑ๐
Los Loosers is the best gastronomic restaurant in Mexico thus far! And yes, this is vegan/plant based. Simply just tasting different entrees here is a great experience. The burger and the flan are 2 things I don't care for.
Wifey ๐ฑ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Sidra Nashi (Cider) ๐๐๐บ - extremely tasty cider
Taco Tokiolula ๐ฎ - flavorful taco
Ramen Spicy Tantan ๐ - rich ramen - it's so good, so so good.
Gyoza ๐ฅ - Jacki's favorite dish here.
Burger Ochikara ๐ - didn't care too much for the burger.
Flan ๐ฎ - tasted more like a panna cotta. If jam was to be added to the flan, it would have been excellente.
Oaxaca ๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐๏ธ
City ๐
Oaxaca is a cultural small town city with a ton of little shops and restaurants. Oaxaca isn't very English friendly. Street food and small shops only take cash. There is no presence of ride share, taxis only.
I recommend stopping by the Mercado 20 de Noviembre, which is a restaurant market. If you want to do some shopping, the check out the market Mercado Benito Juรกrez. Quiosco de Oaxaca is the town square.
Streets of Oaxaca
Street Art
Street Market
The town square is full of festivities at any time of the day and is located in a park area, dispersed with trees. You'll always find musicians, bands, or latin dancers with music. At night is a fun time to be at.
Flute Musicians ๐ถ
Street/Market Food
Around the town square area is street food everywhere. This include at least tacos, pezoles, hotdogs, hamburgers, elote, fruits, Nutella crepe.
Flan ๐ฎ
Pezole ๐ฅฉ๐ฒ A local entree, similar to Birria but different.
Nutella Crepe with Banana ๐ซ๐ - I've had this in Tulum, MX and it's way better.
Fruit Juice at Mercado 20 de Noviembre ๐ฑ๐๐ฅค - We ordered a Jugo Verde & Antigripal. Be prepared since one of these smoothies can easily feed 2 people.
Restaurants
Herbivoira
On the first night, we marched straight to Herbivoira, a vegan taco joint. We ordered 1) Barbacoa which is decent and 2) the Papa Con Chorizo which is really delicious. This place is cash only.

Hierba Dulce ๐ฑ
We ate at Hierba Dulce and order 4 things: Tepache, mole dish, ceviche, and the brown with ice cream. Because the rest of the food sucked, I won't post any food pictures. Only Tepache (Pineapple Kombucha) was worth getting.
Santa Hierba ๐ฅ๐ซ
Santa Hierba is a pretty good restaurant with a mix of vegan and non-vegan food, playing nice with us.

Croissant SH & Orange Juice ๐ฅ|๐๐ง - I really enjoyed this ham/cheese croissant sandwich!
Enchiladas & Coffee ๐ซ|โ๏ธ
Superfood Bowls - Cacao ๐ฅฃ - Frozen smoothie with fruit and coconut shavings.
3 Milk Type Cake ๐ฐ - Pretty good for a vegan Tres Leches, not as sweet
El Destilado
On the last night, we tried to get a tasting dinner at El Destilado. That wasn't available last minute. We were still able to order food from the bar and this restaurant was really good.
Guacamole ๐ฅ - Rich guacamole!
Tiki 409 ๐ธ - This drink was really sweet, ๐.
Cauliflower ๐ฅฆ - Jacki said this is amongst her top food for this trip!
Tacos Lechon ๐๐ฎ - Very flavorful tacos, I would get it again!
Donas Rellenas ๐ฉ+๐จ - Doughnut with ice cream. It wasn't good ๐.
Cooking Class
We signed up for a cooking class (booked on Airbnb Experience) which started at 10am and ended at 4:30pm. The tour includes, walking to the grocery market, trying out random food there while shopping for produce, stopping by a coffee shop, trying random chocolates, cooking native food, and then serving ourselves with the food we cooked!

Zona Arqueolรณgica de Monte Albรกn
This ruin reminds me of Machu Picchu. I recommend wearing a hat or sombrero to block the scorching sunlight. I think a tour guide might be worthwhile to provide the context behind different areas of the ruins.
We took a taxi up there for 150 pesos. The car entrance opens at 8am and the crowd floods in at 10am. We arrived there at 7:30am, therefore, the taxi driver couldn't drive inwards any further. We walked an additional 1 km and it was worth it because we beat most of the crowd. Going home, we hopped on a bus for 50 pesos/person and got dropped off near the center of the town.
