Tofu Mix
- ½ teaspoon White pepper
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Umami Mushroom powder
- ¼ teaspoon Five Spice
- ½ cup of potato starch
Veggie Mix
- ½ onion diced
- Half bulb of garlic minced
- 2-3 mild general chili pepper diced e.g. green chiles or siling haba
- Few strands of scallion sliced
- Few strands of cilantro
Tofu Steps
- Mix the Tofu Mix
- Slice tofu into 1 inch cubes
- Mix the tofu cubes into the Tofu Mix
- Prepare a pan of oil (for pan fry) on medium heat
- Cook the tofu cubes for 3-5 minutes on each side. If the pan isn't big enough, then make multiple batches.
- Once golden brown, put them aside
- If bland, add more salt and/or tofu mix to the fried tofu.
Veggie Steps
- Saute onion and then saute garlic, until both are golden brown
- Add chili and pepper and saute for a few minutes
- Add the scallions and mix for 1 minute
- Add in the tofu and cilantro
- On high heat, mix for 1 minute
